Welcome to Sandspit Yacht Club

Sandspit Yacht Club is located at Sandspit, Warkworth

The club comprises of a Marina (under construction), Haulout facilities and 4 divisions:

Centreboard Division, which base their training and racing from our facilities at Algies Bay. The division is involved in and hosts many national regattas.

Sailing Division has racing in a Friday night summer series, a Saturday summer series and a winter series. Any trailer sailer, multi hull or keeler are encouraged to join in these activities.

Power Boat Division is for members with launches and trailer powerboats.

Sport Fishing Division is represented by the Warkworth Game Fish Club whom are affiliated to the New Zealand Sportfishing Council (formerly the NZBGFC).

 The yacht club facilities at Sandspit include:

		Trailer boat ramp, which is available to the public for a nominal charge per use.
		Club House, with bar and restaurant. The club house has outlooks across the Sandspit estuary. Generally open on Thursdays 4pm to 7pm (work clothes and snacks), Fridays from 5:30pm - Family Restaurant, Sundays - Club day from 2pm.  Hours may vary during the summer holidays. Please check with the office by phoning 425 9008.
		Haulout – The club as a low angled ramp for hauling moored vessels out on the club-supplied trolleys. The members need to provide their own cradles. The haulout also has a wash down facility for marine growth removal
		Hardstand for short to medium terms is available for boats that are actively been worked on
		Boat storage for tailer boats on long term basis.
		Dinghy storage
		Wharf with one work berth and several casual berths (max 1 hour). Drinking water is available at the wharf.

All the facilities are available for use by the boating public, based on availability and appropriate fee.
